One of my New Years resolutions was to spend more time taking Addy to fun places. Here are just some of the few places we have gone recently. Can't wait for summer so we can get out even more.

For New Years we decided to get away for the weekend to the family condo in Midway. We had a fantastic time but came home to a pretty nasty surprise. While we were up in Midway we watched the temps drop below 0 but didn't think much of it. Until I walked into the house and down into the basement to the sound of a waterfall. The pipes in Addy's room had burst. Addy was very upset. We walked into her room and she gasped and said " My room is broken" It was very challenging for me to go through such a big loss of memories and keep sakes too. The damage was very bad and we ended up moving upstairs with my very patient and loving inlaws. It took them a month and a half to fix the 30,000$ worth of damage, but in the end we got a nicer basement than we began with so it worked out for everyones behalf. Here are just a few pictures of the damage.

I had to get this down so that we wouldn't forget about it!

I was out and about the other day and my mother in law Trish was watching Addy. Trish has this Christmas decoration that Addy loves! It is a snowman and two penguins. They sing Rocking around the Christmas tree and move around. One Penguin shakes the bell in it's hand and one penguin shakes the bell on his tail. Addy pushes the button and that's when the dancing begins. She shakes her body back and forth and just loves it!

So, Trish and my brother in law Robby were cheering her on and told her to shake her tail like the penguin. Robby asked her " Does Addy have a tail?" and Addy quickly responded..... " No, but daddy does!"

Bwahahahahahahahaha! I guess it's time for Jeff to stop showering with Addy!!

Halloween

So, as you all have figured out on your own, I am a horrible blogger. It's not that I don't have anything to blog about, I just plain forget about it! I keep telling myself that I am going to get caught up from summer, but I need to be real with myself and realize that it is just not gonna happen! So, rather than keep putting it off, I am going to start new from here... So enjoy a few pics from Halloween!

This year I was a devil (thrown together last min) Addy was the cutest Jazz cheerleader EVER, and Jeff was some awesome dude from the 70's. We haven't decided who though- any idea's?!?

I just love this girl!

Every year we get together with Jeff's side of the family and carve pumpkins. Now that the kids are old enough to know what is going on it is so much fun cause they can help us decide how to decorate them and the faces to choose. That is exactly why Addy has one big eye, and one small eye!! haha! It was Scotty ( my cute nephew) who decided to put leaves on them. It was a great touch!!! Here are all the kids showing off their pumpkins and my awesome sister in law... not sure what she is doing! haha!

Tomorrow we will celebrate an amazing and important day in our lives. It is the day that we welcomed our amazing little Addison Michelle Gray into the world. It is a day that will always be important to my heart, because it completed a part of me that was missing something. Addy, our amazing daughter is turning 2 years old. Some of you may think " Who cares" and most of you will remember the same exact feeling. Yet, I still don't know how to feel. My baby is growing up too fast!!! I reflect back on the last two years, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I tear up when I think about what an amazing and special little girl we have, and I can't wait to see what the next 2 years has to bring.

Addy, I love you baby! You are the biggest blessing in my life, and I thank God for you every day! Thank you for making me the proudest Mommy out there! I love you monkey!

I can't believe that we are already coming up to the end of March already? Where is the time going!?! 2010 has been a fun and exciting year for us! We have enjoyed doing alot of fun things with the ones that we love. I hope that you all are great and that this has been a good start of the year for you!

We don't get many date nights anymore. I feel like my parents and Jeff''s parents are always watching Addy, so we avoid asking them if possible. So when my dad gave us tickets to the Jazz vs. Lakers game for Christmas, we got excited cause we knew that in a few weeks, we would have some time to ourselves. Although it was a depressing loss, Jeff and I had a great time!!!

Saturday the 27th we had an easter egg hunt with Jeff''s side of the family. It was exciting to see Addy find the eggs. Although she was a little wobbly walking around on the grass ( it had just been aerated) She had a great time finding the eggs and treats!

Addy and I went to the dino museum with my friend Amanda and her kids. We had a great time. The second we walked in the door Addy looked up and said "WOW!!!!!!" at the huge dinosaur greeting us in the entry way. It was great! The only part she didn't like was playing in the sand. She kept saying eww and holding her feet up in the air. It was funny!

Then we went to the Mayan for dinner with our good friend the Correa's. We always have a blast hanging out with them. Addy was really into the divers at the Mayan. She kept saying" water" because she wanted to see them go again. It was real fun to watch her get excited. Then we went bowling after which was one of the funnest things I think Addy has done. She started out really enjoying the bowling. Loved pushing the ball down the ramp and clapped when it would hit the balls. Then "cosmic bowling" started. I saw a side of my child that I had never seen before. The lights went off, and the music started bumping and my child had no interest for bowling anymore. All she wanted to do was dance. It was hilarious. She just twirled in circles and moved to the beat. We all couldn't stop laughing! I cannot wait to go again so we can get a better video of her!

Oh, by the way, I am taking myself off private again... I think my fear has passed

Nothing left to say

This happened a few weeks ago, but I want to write it down so I don't ever forget about it. It was hilarious.

I take Addy to and from the babysitter 5 times a week. I use this time to talk to Addy even though there are times I have no idea what she is saying. There are days however where she is tired and not talkative so I turn up the radio and begin to sing along to the music. Those of you who know me, know that I love to sing, but I get gun shy when I am in front of other people. Addy on the other hand, isn't there to judge me so I just let loose and sing as loud as my voice will let me. This one particular night, I was proudly listening to my GLEE soundtrack ( which I happen to love) I was singing the song Alone,( originally done by heart) and was pretty much my own front seat Diva. I always keep my vizer in my car down so I can see what Addy is doing and talk to her. As I bust out with "Till now, I always got by on my own, I never really cared till I met you" I look in the mirror to see my adorable daughter with her pointer fingers neatly placed in her ears. All I could respond with " Is mommy really that bad?" She grinned.

Cars go Vrooom

Every February, my husband heads down to Vegas for a week long get away. What does he do there you ask? He goes to sit in one spot surrounded by a bunch of drunken rednecks to watch cars circle around a track over 300 times. I never have quite figured out his fascination with Nascar, but I am glad that he has something that makes him happy.

This morning as I watched my daughter kiss her daddy goodbye, I couldn't help but get a tear in my eye. This year has been the first year that it is difficult to see him go (Odd, right?) As Addy and I walked out to the car to go to the babysitter, she kept repeating "daddy" over and over again. We pulled out of the driveway, and again she repeated " Daddy" It amazed me because I knew that she knew what was going on. At 21 months, I would think that she wouldn't understand, but she did. I then responded with " Yes honey. Daddy is going to be gone for a few days, but will be back soon." She responds back " Daddy see cars go Vrrrooom" Addy never ceases to amaze me. She is intelligent and picks up on things that I never thought she would know. I am so blessed to be her mommy and cannot wait to spend a whole week with her!

Mommies TV

Last night I went into Addy's room to finish our nightly routine. I picked her up and sat her on her changing table, and proceeded to change her into her pj's. Like usual, Addy is talking up a storm. She then looks up at me with a concerned face and says " Where Daddy go??" If you know Addy, you know that every time she asks a question, she puts her hands up near her head with her finger tips pointing outward. It's adorable. I proceed to tell Addy " Daddy is watching TV" without missing a beat she replies " Oh, Mommies Titty" ( Mommies TV) I bust out laughing and she continues to say it over and over! I call in Jeff, and all we keep hearing is " Mommies Titty, Mommies Titty, Mommies Titty" It is moments like this that all the stress I endure from work, and laundry, and my loud bird totally worth living! She is so amazing!

Catch up Time

When did I become soooo bad at blogging? I apologize to all of you who still continue to check our blog in hope that something fun and exciting would pop up. Life has been hectic and busy, but has been a blast. Addy is now 21 months, and is talking like crazy. She is such a joy and every day I get to spend with her is amazing. She is Miss independent for sure, but is still a joy, and so kind. She always is giving hugs and kisses and is more affectionate than I expect most toddlers to be. I think shortly I am going to try to start potty training her. The more and more I change these poopy diapers, the more I cannot wait for her to be potty trained. They do not tell you how horrible it really is to change a diaper. She explains to us when she has a wet or poopy diaper now, so I think I am going to attempt it in a few weeks.
Here are our last few months :

Addy learned to love tents and crawling through things
Spent time with some amazing friends
Had our yearly girls night out. Tradition since 7th Grade

Addy had a great christmas, full of lots of fun toys!
Addy learned how to smile for the camera and now does this in every picture taken. Isn't it adorable?

Is summer really coming to an end?

As always, I am sorry about my infrequent posts. It's hard for me to get away to post anymore.... So instead of random posts, you get a nice long one with lots of pictures :)
What's new in our world... Addy is stepping.. haha... She refuses to walk. It's not because she doesn't get it.. She just doesn't want to. She has taken steps to us many times, just doesn't care to go any further. Were being patient with her, cause the longer she crawls, the longer I keep my sanity. Needless to say watching her learn to stand up on her own was a fun experiance :)

Our good friends Tiff and Lance and their little guy Ashton came over last night for some summer fun! We were all playing outside and decided to give the tire swing a try. Ashton started but was terrified at first and wanted out. So, we let Addy have a try. The pictures speak for themselves as to how she felt about the swing!

Ashton saw how much fun Addy was having and wanted it to be his turn so he ran towards the swing just as Addy was swinging towards him and BAM!! He got nailed. Little guy is a tough one though.

We will miss you Grandpa

I am sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. Aside from it being a hectic summer, it has been an emotional one for my whole family.
At the end of June Jeff's Grandpa came down with Herpes Encephalitis. We all have the Herpes Virus in out bodies. What happened with Grandpa Gray is that it went up into his brain, instead of coming out in the form of cold sore. He went from an active, smart, 76 year old to non responsive in just 2 days.
As a family we have fasted and prayed our hearts out that he would recover and come back to us. All you can do in times like these is pray and have faith that the lord will make the best decision.
A few weeks ago before the virus completely took over his brain he was able to open his eyes, smile and let us know that he knew we were there. Unfortunately he did not continue progressing. We continued praying that he would be able to fight this and come back to us, but all felt that it was time for him to move on. It has been so hard to see him like this, and we know that it is not what he wants from his life.
We went to visit him last night to tell him goodbye. As hard as it was, you knew that it was the right thing seeing the state that he is in. I am so glad that we were able to see him one more time before he past away.
This morning at 6, Grandpa Gray past on to a better place. I can't help but think about what a reunion he is having with his family up in heaven, but my heart breaks for his family. We have all truly lost an amazing person, who has always been an amazing example to everyone he comes in contact with.
It's kind of a weird place to be put in when a spouse loses a grandparent. I feel like I am not supposed to be mourning as much as I am because he was not my Grandpa by blood, but the 3 and a half years I knew him, it felt like he was. My heart aches, and I miss him. He was always so eager to see me and tell me how good it was to see him. I will miss him so much and I know with all my heart that we will see him again and that Addy will be able to get to know her grandpa. I also know that he is up there protecting my future children and teaching them. I want to dedicate this to an amazing man. He loved his family with all of his heart and loved the gospel and lived by it every day. He was always so happy and so positive, and I am going to miss going to Ogden to visit him. I am also going to miss Jeff coming home and telling me how much he "almost" beat his grandpa by when they played Golf. I know that we are mourning here on earth, but that the heavens are rejoicing that they have their brother, son, uncle, father, and grandpa back. We will miss you Grandpa Gray and can't wait till we are reunited.

Summertime!!

Wow, when did it become August? This summer has for sure flown by and I apologize for not posting since early June. We just have been super busy! I hope everyone is having an amazing summer!!! I just grabbed awhole bunch of pics so you can see what we have been up to. I wish we would have taken more pics of all of the events, I need to be better about that!! Anyways, Summer has been so fun with Addy. Last year she was so little and we were advised not to take her in the sun, so this year has been a blast because she absolutly loves it outside!! She got a pool in May for her birthday ans was finally able to use it in July when all the rain decided to go away!!

This summer has been a fun one. From family parties, to fireworks, Bees Games and BBQ's. We have had a good one. It's a shame it has to go by so quick. I hope you all have an amazing summer with lots of fun memories!!!

Ashes to ashes....

Last week my mother in law went into her bathroom and flipped the light switch. For some reason the light didn't turn on. She went to leave when she smelt something burning. She touched the wall but didn't feel any heat, so then she went into the shower and it was blazzing hot. She called in my father in law who touched the light and burnt his hand. So they decided to call the fire department. Long story short the wire had stripped over the years and was touching the wood and started it on fire.. If my mother in law hadn't gone in that bathroom that night who is to say what could have happened. It makes me grateful that the lord looks out for us in ways we don't often realize till later..

The firemen had to take out the insolation that was burning and in the process, one of them fell through the ceiling in the hallway.. Bet he felt dumb... This is the insolation that was burntOh and if your wondering where I was during all of this.. I was sleeping peacefully in the basement :)

Happy Birthday Addy!!

One year ago today I was laying in a hospital bed wondering if my child that was 11 days late was ever going to grace us with her presence. I have never been the same since.
Addy has been one of the biggest blessings to ever come into my life. She has been such an easy baby and has never ceased to amaze me. From 3 weeks old she slept all the way through the night. I would place her little blankie next to her face and she would immediatly close her eyes and be out.
She never cried when she had a wet or stinky diaper. I would go to change it and it would be messy and I would have no idea cause she was so easy going and happy.
She loves her food and we often refer her to a little bird. She would see her bottle and swat her arms up and down with her mouth wide open and make funny noises. It was so adorable and always made us laugh. Even at one year old Addy's favorite thing is her food. Heaven forbid we walk away to get a bib!! haha
Addy has a smile that lights up a room and a laugh that will make any person laugh (she sounds like elmer fudd). She has the most amazing blue eyes and gets compliments wherever we go.
She is very intelligent and picks up on things quickly. I will never forget how amazed I was when at 1 week old she would stand straight up and would lock her knees, or how at 4 months she was sitting up,and how she held her bottle very early as well.
She took a while to crawl but that was our fault for holding her too much.. hehe..
Addy is the light in our lives and I can never thank the lord enough for what a blessing she has been to Jeff and I. She came at a time when we needed her most and although we were surprised and had no idea what to expect, we are so grateful that the lord blessed us to be parents to her and to teach her what she needs to do in this life.

I love you Addy!! Your our little stinker bumb and we are so grateful to have you in our lives!!

Commitment

I saw this on someones blog and it really hit me deep so I stole it (Yes I admit it) and I am posting it for your viewing pleasure. This is really neat

This post is designed to go 2 ways. You can interpret what is written for your marriage or self development. Either way, the concept is the same.My biggest impression this week is related to the topic of commitment. I have been feeling a lot of resentment towards society and media of late on this topic. It is the hot thing to "Do what you feel like". It is my opinion that this is causing an epidemic of fickleness and non-commitment. We are shown that if its not fun and isn't what we feel like doing or maybe isn't a smooth ride, well who cares!!! Just find something/someone new! Is it any wonder that people of this generation are expected to change careers (not jobs, but total career changes) 13+ times in their lifetime?We are not expected to stick anything out! The same goes in our marriages! I mean, doesn't it?!?! Society tells us, "If your spouse is not keeping you in blissful oblivion, find someone who will." Why on earth take vows and make a commitment if you are leaving a back door open? How about we take a stand and work on improving and fixing the situation rather than giving up?? (Novel concept, I know!) Every challenge you have will strengthen you and is happening for a reason. "With the joy of great victories, comes the pain of great difficulties." -Leslie WolgamottOn the topic of marriage and relationships, I have a thought to share. All growing up, we are almost brain washed to expect "happily ever after", are we not? We are waiting for our prince charming to come and sweep us off our feet... or our beautiful fair maiden to rescue and ride off into the sunset with. Are we not, in these theories, looking for the one that will make us happy for the rest of our lives? The problem is, we are thinking that love is this fabulous, wonderful, elated emotional high and we expect them to make us feel this way forever! WRONG!!! What about our own role in the situation!?! Terrible Teeth

One of the joys about being a mother to Addison is that she is always happy and carefree and hardly every cries. I think that both Jeff and I have been very spoiled in this aspect. Addison got her first tooth a few weeks ago and it was a breeze. She had a slight fever and wanted to be held a lot but other than that she was a gem. The same story did not occur with tooth number two. We first noticed the tooth budding last Sunday and by Thursday Addy had a fever of 100.3 -101.7 all day long. That night we did not sleep at all and I must aknowlege Jeff for being such a tropper and staying up with her till 4 in the morning. He is such a good Daddy. Her fever got up to 102.8 that night so we upped how often we were giving her Tylenol and Motrin. It has been so hard to have a very happy baby go to a very unhappy baby. Friday her fever broke off and on , Saturday it came back during the night along with a nose that leaked like a faucet. Sunday she was very very unhappy, couldn't breath at all and nothing we did made her happy. Good news is is that we only woke up twice last night and she actually went to sleep without crying for an hour first.
I think she is finally starting to feel a bit better, but I am dreading all of the other teeth that will come through if they are all going to be like this... Any advice from you mommies out there for future teeth??

I think it's hilarious when parents give their young kids lemons... It just cracks me up. Jeff tends to think otherwise so I had to try it out while he wasn't around. I was amazed to find the lemon didn't effect her at all, so last night I put my theory to test again. Jeff wasn't very happy about it but she loved it!!! On a side note, this is a lemon that has been sitting in my water. Although it is still sour, it is not as strong.... Next test, a lemon that isn't watered down...

Well, I am officially a blog slacker. I have been so busy lately that I am so behind, so I just wanted to play a little catch up. We are now officially moved into my inlaws basement and so far it has been nice(which I expected it to be) we have had a lot of fun hanging out with "grandma and grandpa" and Addy is adjusting very well! A little update on her, she is now 10 months old and isn't quite crawling yet ( which has been very nice for usn since we have been moving) We think she will be crawling any day now... She is such a fun little girl and is constantly making us laugh. She does this little elmer fudd laugh that makes anyone who is around laugh hysterically. She'll hold her arms out and open her mouth and just laugh. I'll have to get it on video one of these days for you guys!!! It's hilarious!! She finally is getting her first tooth!! Yippee!! She hasn't been too bad, only had one night where she really gave us any indication she was in pain but since then has been a total sweetheart. I have had him for 6 years or so, This is him meeting my inlaws dog Kenny. He sure doesn't know what to think of him!!Bath time in the sink!!! And, all you mommies out there will appreciate this one.... There is nothing like going in and finding your child in the most uncomfortable positions imaginable. What you cannot see is that addy's legs are in the splitz and hiding under the crib bedding.... I tried to sneak out but camera flash woke her up....oh no, maybe she wont see me and go back to sleep...............................Too late.... Addy isn't very happy :(..........................................................................Good thing her bottle always makes her happy :)And last but not least, Addt's crazy hair..... Well, It's been quite some time since I gave you guys an update and I figure now is a good time to do it!! So here we go!!

Well, first off, Jeff and I decided that our town home is getting a little small. Addy has toys everywhere and our garage has officially become a storage unit for our crap, so we decided that we want to do what we can to be able to get a house in that next year. We decided that we needed to take some steps to get there, so were moving in with his parents so we can save up a lil mulah!! I am actually looking forward to it!! I love my in-laws so it will be nice to see them, but it is also an amazing feeling knowing what we are working towards. Were planning on being there for no longer than a year.. I will miss the feeling of having a home and not feeling like all of my stuff is everywhere, but it will be worth it in the long run so I am excited.

Addy is now 9 months old. She is such a freaking doll and I love being her mom. She never ceases to amaze me with her intelligence and her love for life. She is so much fun! She isn't crawling yet but were expecting her to any day now. She says dada all of the time. You can bet that I have been working my little tush off trying to get her to say mama... Not so much to hear her say it but because she is just so hilarious with her response. It's like she knows I want her to say it so she will do the total opposite. It goes something like this " Addy, say Mama" then she will get this huge smile on her face, followed by an adorable giggle and then "dadadadadadadadadadadad" She seriously cracks me up! She has the best personality! On top of that she is clapping and eating "big girl food" and loves to dance.... Oh how I love that girl so much!!

This past weekend I got to go up to Midway with some of my best girl friends for a little R and R and let me tell you, we had so much fun and I am so grateful for the wonderful friends I have.. We spent the weekend at the condo and did a lil shopping in Park City.... Went swimming... played games, stayed up till all hours of the night talking...For all of you ladies who have never done a weekend away with your girlfriends without the kiddies, I would highly recommend it. It was so nice to catch up with em and it made our friendships so much stronger. Plus, I needed the break from work, and laundry and our house that is a disaster so I could get rededicated to moving... ugh! Anyways, I love my girls and I had so much fun with em... I might have some pics to share in a bit.. well see :)

Poking at my last nerve

So, I have a question for all of you mommies out there. Addison is 9 months old. She is a sweet baby and we really are so blessed to have her. She is a joy to be around most of the time. But her latest thing has really taken a toll on my nerves. Addy has started this new thing where if you set her down she will scream. It's not just a little baby cry it's a full on "someone took my bottle scream". Did I mention that this will happen even if your sitting right next to her? It is even worse if you leave the room. It doesn't only happen with me. It happens with My mom, My mother in Law, My sister in Law and my sitter on monday's Heather. It's something that I need to stop as of yesterday but the problem is, Addy is her Mommy's daughter and is the most stubborn little thing in the world. I was told not to let her rule what I do and just to leave the room, and if she keeps it up to put her in her crib. So that's what I have done, and that's also what everyone else who watches her during the week has been doing as well. from what I hear most babies will cry for a half hour then get over it and move on with their lives... Not Addy. She will draw out the crying spree for as long as I have let her. Yesterday she was tired so I put her down for her afternoon nap which usually lasts 3-5 hours, and she cried and cried... So I went in there, gave her the bink, then left and 2 min later she was back at it. So this time I waited thirty min to go in there. So, I went in gave her the bink and what do you know, she's back at it again. She wasn't hungry, she wasn't dirty. She had all the fixens for a nice comfy nap....but NO! So, the last time I let her cry for an hour and SHE CRIED THE WHOLE TIME!! I finally went in there and wrapped her up like a burrito and she finally fell asleep... After two hours I think she was just exhausted. I seriously do not what to do anymore. I love to hold her, but I can't have this baby crying everytime I sit her down to walk into the other room for 5 seconds. Plus, I have a husband who is wrapped around her finger and has a very hard time excepting the fact that his baby is crying. He can't just "let her cry". Please please please give me any advice you have!! I don't know what to do anymore, and I don't want to raise a baby who cries whenever she doesn't get what she wants!!

So, sometimes it's just nice to sit back and brag for a second, so that is what I am going to do.. so bare with me for a minute or two. January 2nd I posted a blog about how my new years resolution was to get off the rest of my baby weight, and then the weight I have gained since I met Jeff.(You all know how that goes) I know a lot of people say that they are going to diet for their New Years resolution and never go anywhere so I wanted to let you all know about how I have done so far. I started dieting on January 5th. I wont tell you guys how much I started at but as of this moment I have lost 12 pounds!! Yippeee!!! I will keep you guys posted as I continue to loose weight... So, I am kinda torn. I don't mind having my blog public. New Car!!!

So, I totally forgot to post that I finally got a new car. I was driving around a 2006 2 door Civic. In the beginning it wasn't so bad climbing half way in my car to put Addy in, but she got was getting so heavy and it made it more and more difficult to go anywhere with her.
So, I got a 2006 Toyota Corolla LE and I love it so far. I do miss certain aspects of my old car, but am happy to finally have a "family car" Yippee!

Ok so I am a couple months behind on blogging, but we got a new camera for christmas so I will try to keep up on it now!!! Im gonna start on Addy's first christmas... We had a great day. We spent the morning in a 60 degree house cause our power was out then went to Jeffs parents, and then to mine. We had a great day and we were so happy to be with our loved ones

New Years resolution!!!

Okay, So I have had a hard time getting off my baby weight. But its mostly been because I am lazy! I have many excuses as most people do such as:
I work full time
Get home late and want to be with family
Im lazy
don't have a gym membership
blah blah blah

Anyways, those are a few of the silly excuses I make and I am to the point where I am tired of looking at myself in the mirror and knowing that I should be healthier and I have no reason not to be. I mean, my mom has had 4 kids and weighs 115 lbs, shouldn't I try to be healthy like her?

Anyways, Jeff and I have new goals in mind and I am going to try my hardest to get this weight off. That means no more goodies and working out all the time!!! Yay!!!
Im kinda excited to feel good about myself again!!!!

My goal is to loose 30 lbs. You heard me, 30 lbs!!! I feel motivated right now and I know that I can do it!!! So heres to 2009 and feeling good again!!!!

There is nothing more heartbreaking than to watch your child go through a sickness. Addy is almost 6 months old and is experiencing her first cold. I can't tell you how badly I wish I could take the pain of it all away from her ( even though she's already given it to me.. haha) She is so miserable and has had a super hard time sleeping. She hates getting her nose sucked, and hates being set down...... Yet through it all, she still finds time to smile. What a sweetheart

I have a friend who went to this class that basically teaches you how to use coupons properly and how to save a bunch of money on your grocery items. She has already saved a ton on her groceries from the skills that this lady has taught her. Anniversary weekend

Well, as some of you know, Jeff and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary last weekend. We started out by dropping Addison off at my parents house to spend the night. We then went and got an amazing steak from Ruby River.... MMMMM.... we drove around for a bit until it got late then went and stayed at a hotel downtown. The next morning we woke up and went to the body worlds exhibit which was amazing!!!! I am so glad that we went....
We had an amazing and fun weekend and we were so grateful to have the weekend to just focus on each other. I am so grateful to my amazing husband!!! I love him so much!!! Love you Jeff!!!!

2 weeks ago we went up the canyon with Jeff's family to take family pictures. We had a great time getting our pictures taken. So, a few nights ago I went to feed Addy.... We started out with her pea's (which she LOVES!!!!) and then went on to her bottle. I layed her down next to me and stuck the bottle in her mouth and went to adjust the blankets and when I came back up to her she was holding her bottle all by herself!!! Now, she has done this a few times before but it always falls out of her hands within a few seconds. It didn't happen this time, she ate the whole bottle by herself... She only let go twice. I can't believe that my little one is growing up so fast!! Where do I find a pause button on this whole experience?

You know the saying "time flies when your having fun?" Well, I totally agree with that!!! Jeff and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary today! I cannot believe that it had already been 2 years since we said I do. I think about the day that I became his forever and of how happy I was. It was one of the best days of my life. Looking back on that day, I kinda have to laugh at myself because I was so naive as to how much more amazing my life would get. It is so much better than I ever could of imagined!! I cannot explain to Jeff how much I truly love him. He is my everything! He is one of the best people I know and I am so blessed to wake up every morning next to him. Every day he is an example to me and makes me want to be a better person. I cannot thank him enough for that... I love you baby... Here is to another 2 years... and then another 2 and then another 2... I am so excited to spend forever with you!!!

On a side note, congrats again Landon and Britt!!! We are soooo excited for you!!

So, I know that I have become a bit of a blog slacker lately... I do get on often and read what goes on in your lives, but as for me, haven't had much time to post, so accept my apologies. I'll try to give you a quick update
Summer has come and gone and we have kept ourselves pretty busy. From trips up to the cabin, and playing with friends and family, we have had a great time!
Recently, my brother in law Robby (Jeff's brother) got his mission call. He is going to Lisbon Portugal. We couldn't be more excited for the kid! We are so proud of him and the decision he has made to serve a mission. Were going to miss him but know that the time will fly by and we will get to be with him soon.
Addison was blessed by her Daddy on Sept 7. Jeff did such an amazing job. He told me he was going to do something short and sweet, but it wasn't. It was very heartfelt and one of the most beautiful blessings I have ever heard. I am so glad that I was able to listen to it and that I have him as my husband. He is a great example to me and Addison!

Our niece Gracelynn (sorry if I spelt it wrong Jen) Celebrated her 1st birthday at the beginning of September. I cannot believe how big she is getting already. She started walking and is now all over the place and is so much fun. I am so glad that we were there to celebrate her the first year of her life... Before I know it, it will be Addy's turn! Jeff is still kicking butt at his new job. He really enjoys working there and has made some great friends! I am so proud of him and the hard work that he puts in! Love you baby!!

Addison is growing like a weed. She had her 4 month check up on the 7th of October and weighs 13 lbs 7 ounces and is 25 inches long! She is in the 50th percentile for weight and is in the 90-95 for height! Don't ask me where that came from. It is a joy to see her grow with each passing day. I see her learn something new every day. Her new thing that she loves to do is play with her toes. Especially if she doesn't have socks on them. I will walk into the room to see her playing with her toes and just talking like crazy! Puts a huge smile on my face! She still sucks on her hands like crazy, but I think as soon as she is able to grab her toys better that will stop (cross our fingers) Her favorite show is a show on the Disney Channel called Higgleytown Hero's. She does not take her eyes off of the tv when that show is on and just talks and talks. I am glad that she likes to watch tv cause it makes it easier for me to get things done. One of her new things to do is to pull her binkie out of her mouth. She will be trying to sleep and she will pull it out of her mouth and just start screaming. It is hilarious, but let me tell you, I cannot wait till she can put it back in her mouth as easily as she takes it out. She also is grabbing at things a lot better than before, she will be throwing things at daddy before we know it. She also now is eating rice cereal and likes it as long as she isn't starving! If that is the case then she throws a fit because she doesn't want to work as hard to fill her belly up. Its kinda funny, but I am trying to get her used to the fact that as soon as she finishes her cereal, she gets her bottle!

As for me, nothing new really. Still working full time and loving my job. It is amazing how the time flies. I can't believe that I have already been there over a year and a half.
I have a new project that I have been working on that is a lot of fun. Jeff and I for the past 2 years ( yes 2!!!) have been sleeping on a very small bed.. It is a full!!! Don't ask me how we have handled it, cause i think we both drive each other crazy most nights. Anyways, Jeff's parents are remodeling their room and with remodeling comes new furniture. They have a KING size water bed that they have had for the last 30 years. It is in great shape for being that old. Well, they asked us if we wanted it and of course I jumped at the opportunity to take the bed.
Anyways, The wood is brown, and I wanted to get rid of all of the scratch marks that their cats had scratched into the wood, so I have completely sanded the whole thing down and painted it black. I am almost done with it and it looks SOOOO good. It looks brand new and you would never be able to tell that it was originally brown. I am so excited to get it set up and to not have to draw an invisible line down the middle of the bed!! WOO HOO! Should be interesting learning to sleep on water though :) I will try to take pictures if I remember.

Anyways, that's about it lately. Life is good and we are happy with the way that it is going. We have wonderful family and friends. I wanted to take a minute to publically thank the people that have helped us out so much....
Heather, My sister, my mom, and my mother in law. Jeff and I appreciate you more than you will ever know. You have been such a help to use with watching Addy and there is nothing that we can do to thank you enough. We are thrilled that Addy has such amazing people in her life to look up to and don't think that we could ask for better examples. Thank you again for all that you guys do!
I also want to mention, Kristine, Tiffany, Caren, Jen and Erin. Thank you for your help when I needed it most! You guys are the best!

State Fair time!!!

So, I am a little bit behind on posting.. Please forgive me... Two weeks ago we went to the Utah State Fair with our really good friends Lance and Tiffany, and their little one Ashton. We had a real good time. It has become a tradition for Jeff and I to go every year, so we were really excited to go this year with Addy!!! She did such a good job and just hung out the whole night looking around at everything. Jeff and I are so grateful to have such an amazing little girl Yes, we did try the Deep Fried Peanut butter and Jelly!

Wasn't that good though... and we all gained 20 pounds... haha

You can never go wrong with Oven Roasted Corn... MMMMMM You can't see it very well but thats a mountain goat behind me, and he has a goatee :)

Big Bang!!

On the radio this morning they talked about the launch of the "Super-Collider." Basically, 600 scienetists in france have created a machine in which they are trying to recreate the big ban theory. In doing so there is a chance that they will destroy the world in the process. I thought it a little ridiculous at first but in reading up on it a little more I realized that it is a true and scary thing that could produce serious consequences. The point of this blog is not to talk about what these scientists are doing. As I thought about the fact that at any moment life could end I asked myself if I had done what i want with my life and if I died tomorrow wether or not I would feel like I accomplished the things that I want to in my life. The answer is no! There is so many other things that I want to accomplish before I pass on.
Im not going to take the time to list all of them but I suggest that we all take a moment and look at our lives. I spend so much time worrying about the dumb little things when I should be having fun with my amazing husband and my adorable daughter. I want to make more memories with them because in the end that is all that we will have... anyways, I hope you guys are all well and that you will take a moment to ponder the gifts that God has given us and how we can use them to their fullest!!

Haslam family Reunion

Well this past weekend was spent in West Yellowstone with the whole famdamily. It was really nice to get together with the family since it has been such a long time since we all were together. I was about 10 at out last reunion and our family was relativly small. I think there were about 60 people there so it was a little crazy at times! My Grandpa and Grandma(deseased) payed for the whole trip which was very nice of them!! We stayed in personal cabins with my parents and sisters and had a blast. Addison did really well on the drive up there and the drive back, only cried when she wanted some food or her binkie! I was shocked at how well she did. Some nights were a little too much for her ( shes not used to being around people who are louder than her daddy) so I got to spend alot of time with her and we had a good time. She is becoming so fun! I just love my little stink bug so much! Im going to not try to go to picture crazy, but you have to realize this was my first time to yellowstone so alot of things were so amazing and so beautiful to me. So if you have seen em all before just ignore em and make sure not to notice how chubby I am.. I think these will be the first after pictures I have posted since Addy has been born!!

All and all we had a great time and decided that we would like to do it again when Addy is a little bit older. This really was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I am glad I was able to share it with my family...

just a little update

Hey guys... I figured that is has been a little too long since I posted any updates on addy, so here we go! Addy is now over 3 months old and is so much fun. She has the best little personality! She smiles all of the time and talks more than any baby I have ever seen. Its so fun to ask her how her day was and just to hear her go off for minutes at a time. I think addy is becoming a total daddy's girl. She loves spending time with her daddy. She has him wrapped around her little finger!! She still sleeps all of the time and is the best baby.. She doesn't cry unless she is tired or hungry so it makes it pretty easy to figure out what she wants.... Here are a bunch of photos from the last month.. forgive me if there are a ton... I haven't updated in a while!

So about a year ago I spent some time reading my friend Sami's blog. She had just had a baby and had posted a picture of the inside of her shower. On her shower wall read " My hair is falling out" Now, you can imagine my surprise to find out that those 5 words were written with her hair that had fallen out!!! She left the nice surprise to dry for her husband and took a picture for all to see! I was pretty shocked by it all. I had no idea that it was even possible that a person could loose that much hair! So of course when mine started falling out a few days ago I was a little worried. I did a little bit of research on line and they mentioned that it was "normal" to loose up to 100 hairs a day. Let me tell you, I must not be "normal" then. I CANNOT believe how much hair I have falling out. If it keeps up I will not have anymore by the end of the week. Imagine how much hair you accumulate in your brush after 3 days.. That is what I loose in ONE DAY!!!! It's unbelievable to look down at the ground after I do my hair and see what I think is a new rug!! Gross I know! So, I loose a handful in the shower, a handful when I do my hair, and like 10 hairs every time I run my fingers through my hair! Not to mention the random hairs on Addison and in her hands! haha Poor kid! Ugh! The joys of being a new mom!! Anyone have any idea when I will be normal again? :(

My adorable husband

Right now I want to take a minute to brag about my adorable husband! Jeff just got a new job at a staffing agency called Nexeo Staffing. He has been there over a month and is already kicking butt! I am so proud of my baby and all the hard work that he is putting into supporting our family. I am really lucky to have someone who works so hard for Addison and I.
Words can't express how grateful I am that I have him in my life. He is my best friend and I love him more than I ever could of imagined loving someone! He is so much fun and always so positive. He lifts me up whenever I have a bad day and shows me the brighter side of things. I don't know what I would do without him in my life. I get so busy and cranky by the end of the day that I often forget how to show my gratitude for him... So, to show him I decided that I would write as many things as I could about him that I love:

♥ I love how often he tells me that he loves me.
♥ I love when he makes fun of me or imitates me :D I know that sounds strange, but it’s really hilarious and it’s impossible to be angry when he does it because his intention is usually to be funny, and he just does the most exaggerated impressions of me!
♥ I love his cute little smile he gets when he’s just done something funny or “secretive”! It’s this little goofy grin, and I adore it
♥ I love the funny little voices that he uses when he talks to Addison
♥ I love how he has this “special” voice that comes out during our more tender moments :D The tone of it is just really loving and incredibly sweet
♥ I love his hands, and how his fingers feel laced within mine
♥ I love how I can be completely serious and he will find a way to make me laugh and put a smile on my face ( see below)

♥I love how cute he is with my niece and nephew. He is a great uncle!
♥ I love how we can be doing nothing at all and it doesn't matter. I just love to be with him
♥ I love the look in his eyes when he gets home from work and see's his little girl
♥ Jeff can keep a secret. He doesn’t need to talk about people or gossip. I have always looked up to him for that.
♥ I love that he was able to take me to the temple and be sealed to me for time and all eternity
♥ I love his sense of humor. He's a dang funny guy!
♥ I love that we can sit on the couch and watch tv together. It feels perfect to be sitting by his side with my legs draped over his.
♥ I love that he always feels so comfortable with me and is completely himself. There’s no sugar coating, he is just who he is. That type of vulnerability means the world to me because he trusts me and feels safe, just as I do with him
♥ I love how family oriented he is and how he never abandons anyone in need. He is such a good-hearted man!
♥ He's a total child at heart
♥ I love the way he smells. Sometimes I’ll bury my face in his pillow just to breathe in his scent.
♥ I love how even when I just saw him, I miss him when he is away
♥ He doesn’t compare himself or what he has to others. He is very content with his life as it is.
♥ He loves his parents & siblings very much. His extended family is very important to him. It was something I noticed when we were first dating and very much respected about him.
♥ He always assures me that I am a good wife and mom. Even when I’m worried that I’m not, he NEVER agrees with me.
♥ Sometimes I get really cranky and when I’m in a bad mood, I can be hard to tolerate. But when I come to my senses and apologize, he always forgives me right away. He's good about giving me my space too when its needed.
♥ I love his Butt! He hates it but I just think its the best ever!!!
♥ He keeps his nails clean & trimmed. Thankfully, his feet NEVER stink.
♥ He is very tidy, which is good because I am not
♥ He is a good provider
♥ He's nice to look at! RAWR!!!
♥ I love that I am able to raise Addison with him. He is an amazing father!
♥ He gives the best hugs! I always feel safe in his arms

♥ I love how when I ask him to change Addison's diaper, feed her or get her in her pj's he is always so willing to help out. He is a very hands on person and Addison is lucky that her dad loves her so much to do that! Most men hate it and are very vocal about it
♥ Jeff is never negative. I cannot think of when time when he hasn't been positive!
♥ He always puts the toilet seat down
♥ I love how excited he gets when I remember ANYTHING that has to do with Nascar. He thinks it's the coolest thing ever
♥ Im not a big Nascar fan, but occasionally I will sit down and watch it with him. Even if it is only for 10 minutes he is always so grateful that I did and lets me know!

Twilight Rumor Control

Alrighty, So I am in need of some major rumor control and hopefully it will turn out the way I want ;)
As most of you know I am in love with the Twilight series (Thanks Jen). Right now I am reading Breaking Dawn and it is amazing. (Im not done yet so don't ruin anything for me) Anyways, I have heard in the past that Stephanie Meyer (the Author) was going to be writing 6 or 7 books in this collection. Kinda like a Harry Potter deal. So I was all excited knowing that my Edward fix would not be coming to an end with Breaking Dawn. Well today alone, two people have told me that this is the last book in her collection. I am totally sad about the idea of this being the last book! What will my life be without my Edward fix? I just can't imagine my life without the anticipation of her new book. I mean, there is plenty that can be written about right? Do any of you know the truth to this? If you do PLEASE let me know. I can't spend hours online looking up the answer so if you know please send your knowledge my way, and thank you in advance!!

2 month check up

Well, Addison had her 2 month check up today. I have to admit, I was dreading taking her and seeing her get stuck with those needles. She freaks out if I take her bottle away to feed her, I can only imagine what shots will do to her!
Needless to say she did a great job. The dr was testing her strength and using the cold stethescope, and poking around before the shots so she was already crying so I think that helped take away from the shock of it all. She screamed bloody murder as soon as she was poked but I picked her up and she was fine after that! What a little trooper!

The Dr was very impressed with Addison and how well she is doing. She couldn't believe how well she was holding up her head and said that she was holding it up like a 4 month old. She also said that the fact that she smiles as much as she does and that she follows people as they walk by means that she is developing at a great rate. (she compared it to a 4 month old again) She laughed and said that the only thing she can't do is wave goodbye. Jeff and I are working on that as we speak. ;)

Addison now weighs in at 11 pounds even and is 22 and a half inches long. She is in the 50 percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. I have no idea where she got her height from, but I am glad to see that she is growing!

Its amazing how much my love for this little one grows each day. I can definetly say that being a mom is so much fun and so worth while!! I will post some new pics soon!!

Well, I finally decided that it was time for someone other than myself to take pictures of Addison. I had one of my best friends Jen take the pictures and she did an amazing job. The link to her website is listed under my favorites, so make sure you go check it out.
Anyways, I was worried about how Addison would handle it all cause she was a little fussy before hand, but she ended up being a little diva! She did awesome and loved staring at the camera. Beyond Annoyed

Can I just vent my frustration for a minute... ?
Ok, so I met this lady named Jo at my last job. She is an older woman and I just love her. She has been a great example to me and has almost been like my grandma.. I just love her. We go out to lunch often and have remained good friends since we both left my last job..... Anyways, when I was about 7 months pregnant Jo offered to babysit free of charge for me. As you can imagine I was very thrilled that she would do something like this because I trusted her, it was two days out of my way, and hey... it was free.. who wouldn't love that right?
So it has been over 4 months that Jo has said that she would babysit and she knew how much I was relying on her because I had a terrible time finding a babysitter for the other days..( I have to find a sitter to replace Kristine once school starts at the end of August!) So Monday Jo tells me that once school starts ( she volunteers for younger grades doing who knows what) that she will have to stop watching Addy. I was a little peeved about it since this was the first time I had heard about it but I was ok with it because it gave me plenty of time to find another sitter to replace her. I can't help but be grateful for any help that anyone gives me.. Its lifesaving!!! So, today I am at lunch with a co worker and Jo calls me and drops a bomb. She says that things are just getting to busy with school and that Thursday will be her last day watching Addison.

I cannot help but be completely annoyed by this situation. Jo knew that she was doing school stuff but never felt that she needed to tell me.. not only that, gave me under a week to find a babysitter when she knew how hard I was struggeling to find one for the other days. If I was in the situation I would at least give the person a week or two to find someone.. Now I am running around with my head cut off wondering what I am going to do. I don't know if I am going to have to quit my job, or if I am even going to be able to find anyone to replace her for those days. I am not about to send my 7 week old angel to a day care where she will be shoved in a crib to cry and not be loved.
I might sound like a whiny brat but I can't help it! I do not know what I am going to do and I am totally hurt that she would do that to me... UGGH! What should I do?

Weekend at Bear Lake

Jeff and I spent a great weekend in Bear Lake with our Brother and Sister in law Scotty and Jenn, our niece and nephew Scotty and Gracie, and our friends Tim and Kim and their daughter Addison. We had a grand old time! It was Addisons first time out in the sun and wouldn't you know Jeff and I didn't even plan for it! We forgot sunscreen and a hat and anything that had to do with being in the water or sun.. Needless to say we had a great time!!

I hope you all had a happy 4th of July... Sorry I am a little late on this post but I am going to try to be a little bit better about posting on here.. Especially since my life seems to not be so boring anymore :)
Over the 4th of July we went to Jeff's family's cabin. We had a great time just hanging out and playing games.. Addison had a great time as well. She totally got thrown off of her sleep schedule though and it has been fun trying to get her back in it (hence the 4:30 feeding this morning) The night before we left she cried and cried and I know its because I ate too many mangos and gave her an upset belly. So I tried to calm her down as much as I could. At one moment when she was bundled I looked down and saw a great photo opportunity.. She just looked so cute I couldn't help it.. Needless to say she started screaming 2 seconds later, but hey... At least I got the picture right?

6 weeks already?

Ok so I finally got some pics uploaded. I find that this blog can be rather frustrating at times when it comes to posting stuff. I spent an hour last week loading these pics and decided to add a video as well. You can imagine how happy I was when it froze.. YAY!!

Anyways, Addison is now 6 weeks and 2 days and is the joy in my life. Her little personality is coming out more and more with each day. She is starting to smile and does a great job at sleeping through the night and has for at least the last 2 weeks (with the occasional bad night) I love being a mom so much. It seems so wierd to me how 7 weeks ago I was getting so excited to be a mom and now I cannot imagine my life without her. She completes our little family. She is getting to the point where she can just hang out and look around.. As you can see above shes just hanging out in the sink while i do my makeup... How cute!!!

So as of yesterday Addison is one month old! Where in the world did the time go??? I go back to work on the 7th and I have to be honest I am dreading it more than anything in the world. I love my job and all but to think that I have to leave my little one every day of the week with a different person just kills me. (know of anyways to make alot of money quick so i dont have to work anymore?)Right now My good friend Jo is going to be watching Addison on Mondays and Thursdays. My little sister will be watching her on Tuesdays and fridays (until she goes back to school) and my mother in law will be watching her on Wednesdays with Gracelyn and Scotty. I am excited for Wednesdays because it will be a good chance for her to get to know her cousins very well. I am still looking for a replacement sitter for Tuesdays and just 4 hours on fridays starting at the end of August so if you are interested let me know.. I am desperate!!

She is getting so big! She is finally fitting into her 0-3 month outfits which makes me excited cause she has some dang cute clothes!!! She isnt sleeping as often during the day which is fun because I get to see more of those baby blues.. I can feel that sometime soon she will start smiling and I cannot wait for that...
I will have some pics for you soon.. Jeffs computer is being dumb so I can't upload them now!!!

I cannot believe that Addison is already two weeks old. It seems like just yesterday I was so uncomfortable and waiting for her to come and now she is here and changing and growing with each passing day!

Right now each day is a new adventure. I see her change every day and it makes me excited for all the good times that we are going to have. We currently are working on getting Addison on a schedule. During the day she eats about every 3-5 hours and then conks out and goes back to sleep. But when night time rolls around its like its the day time and she will not go to sleep. She is wide eyed to the world. Some nights are better than others but we are hoping that sometime soon that will change. I can't wait to be able to get a good nights sleep and not have to rock her to sleep for an hour at 5:00 in the morning!!
She also throws quite a few tantrums. Her Dr said that she has reflux and that is why she will just freak out for no reason at all. It basically is like acid reflux and it is painful. We have her on some meds and are hoping that will change soon... Were keeping our fingers crossed!!!

When she is awake she has the most beautiful wide eyes and loves to look around. She also smiles quite a bit. It happens the most when she is sleeping but we cannot wait till she looks at us and smiles...

She had her two week appt yesterday and she now weighs 8 pounds 5 ounces!!! She is getting big already!!! It makes me so sad!
That being said, I am trying to enjoy the time I have with her before I go back to work. I can already see how hard it is going to be to leave her with a baby sitter every day. I wish that I didnt have to but I gotta do what I gotta do to help our family out.. here are some new updated

Well folks, the little one we have all been waiting for finally joined her own party. As you all know I went in Sunday night to get the meds that would soften my cervix. By the time I woke up I was already dialted to a one (woo hoo) They gave me the pitocen around 9:15 and shortly after I got the epideral. The Dr was there within three minutes to administer the epideral. (talk about a guy who knows how to make a woman happy!!) My labor progressed very quickly from there on out. Actually it flew by. Before I knew it I was at a 5 and getting super excited. We decided we were going to watch a movie to get the last part of the labor over and done with but I started to feel some contractions. so we paused it about 12 minutes into the movie) and I got a stronger dosage of the epideral. I immediatly started feeling like I was going to throw up ( major labor red flag) so the nurse checked me and said, " all right, you are ready to go!" In 45 minutes I went from a 5 to a 10!!! Once my dr came into the delivery room and I started pushing she was out. I maybe pushed through 6 whole contractions. It was nice to have her here so quick. She was born at 3:01 Pm weighed 7 lbs 13 ounces (not bad for being 11 days late) and is 21 inches long. Jeff and I couldn't be more happy with our little bundle of joy. She is a complete sweetheart!!!

Well guys.. It's ten days after my due date and our little one still isn't here..... Im getting admited to the hospital tonight to get the meds to soften my cervix and then monday I get the pitocen to get our little one out wether she likes it or not ;) Can't wait for her to come out and for all of you to meet her!!! Is it baby time yet?

So, today is May 15th. The day that my little one is due and I can’t help but be a little annoyed by the fact that she isn’t here yet. I know its my first but come on, doesn’t she want to come out?? I think she is a stubborn one like her mommy and is hanging onto my rib cage for dear life. I don’t think Jeff and I realize what we are in for. Needless to say I am so excited for those contractions to come rolling around and to meet my little one. It has been such a miracle watching my body change and feel my little one grow. I hope that everyone (every woman), is able to experiance that feeling at least once in their lifetime.
Seeing her for the first time will make every stretch mark, every morning spent hugging the toilet, every shirt that hangs in my closet unworn for months, drinking 80 ounces of water per DAY, and the fact that I haven’t been able to wear my ring for months so worth it!

Come on little one!!! We are excited to meet you!

6 more weeks!

Well today I hit 34 weeks. Its official! I only have 6 weeks left till my due date! I couldn't be more excited either. Although I love feeling her move around me, I have began to dread my inability to breath without pushing her butt off of my lungs, and the frequent bathroom breaks. Don't forget about the constant back ache.... and my favorite.. Her cute little hiccups that she loves to get 5 times a day for up to 20 minutes each time. Its like Chinese Water torture from the inside!
Don't get me wrong... I love being pregnant, but I am excited to get my body back and to start feeling myself again. I look at those women who have these perfect pregnancies ( Jen, and Kristine) and I can't even imagine what it feels like to be pregnant and be comfortable... They have NO idea how lucky they are...

Jeff and I have kind of been what most might call slackers.. We don't have any of her room done, we haven't bought the crib, we don't have a name...I think just for that she might surprise us three weeks early (hey I can dream right?) I think that we are starting to see the urgency in getting it all done now, and I think after this weekend were really going to put a lot of our energy into getting everything taken care of. I have 3 showers set for the next three weekends so after that it will become easier for us to see what we need exactly... I can't wait for them either!!!!!

My Doctor appointments are now going to weekly so I know that the time is going to fly by much faster now that I will see him once a week. My next appt is on the 11th so I will let you all know what the dr says. Hopefully she won't be too stubborn and will come on time!

Pregnancy

As I get down to the last few weeks of my pregnancy and realize that before I know it I will have a little girl to take care of and keep me up at night, I can’t help but reflect back on this pregnancy and all the hardships and joys I have gotten from it.
From the first minute I was pregnant I have felt like I needed to be glued to my toilet. It was a very hard time for me. I was missing so much work and feeling sick all the time. The term morning sickness felt very misleading because mine was more like all day sickness! As the weeks went on and I got into my second trimester I began to see a light at the end of the tunnel. It was about 16 weeks until I could actually say that I felt myself again.

After that point I started to enjoy my pregnancy!!! I tried to forget the fact that I didn’t look pregnant yet, just that I had eaten one to many doughnuts, and that people would soon start to know that I was expecting and not just getting fat!

One night I was sitting at my parents listening to some Josh Groban.( love him!!) I decided to put some headphones on my belly and let my baby listen to the music since I had read that they were able to hear. That was the first time I felt the flutter. At that moment it felt so much more real. To feel that there was something really in my stomach moving around was amazing. It only got more real and more amazing from that point. When we had our second ultrasound and found out that our little lima bean had turned into an amazing little girl it was instant love. It was amazing to see her little personality unfold. We knew we were in trouble when we saw her shake her little butt up and down. (were gonna have to lock her in her room till she is 30)

Now, I feel her move everyday which is an unreal and unexplainable feeling. I wish more than anything that men were able to feel what we feel for one moment. They kind of get jipped in that category.
Even though I haven’t met her yet, I see her personality unfold with every passing day.
It’s amazing to see what things I do in my day that will make her become more or less active. She doesn’t respond to me when I eat a lot of sugar, she seems to like it when I eat healthy which is not a bad habit to get her in early considering her dad is a Mt. Dew and Fast foodaholic She knows the difference between light and dark and when I turn off the lights to go to bed or put a blanket over my belly she lets me know that she doesn’t like it very much! She LOVES to kick me in the bladder. I think I might put her into soccer for that very reason. When I poke her, she pokes back. It makes me think she is feisty like her mom! ( kinda scary!!!)
I am so excited to meet this little girl and for the many new changes that are going to come from her. Its amazing to think that I only have 10 weeks left until I am a full time mommy. I only hope that I can be as good of a mom as mine was to me.

Well, as you all know Jeff and I found out on September 17th that we were expecting a little bundle of joy!!! We were a little shocked ( okay, alot shocked) at first but as time has passed we have been more and more excited to meet the little one making me sick as a dog. On Dec 27th we found out that we are having a little girl.. We couldn't be more excited to meet her!!!

Im due on May 15th and I am starting to count down the days!!!

Well, Jeff and I figured since everyone we know has a blog, it was our turn to go down the blogger path and try this thing out… Bare with us as we try to figure it out….

Well here is a little bit about us…. Jeff and I met in Nov of 2005, fell in love and were married in October of 2006. Our wedding was amazing and beautiful. It was definitely one of the best days of our lives. It’s amazing that it has been over a year already! Time has really flown. We have spent a lot of time getting to know each other and having fun. We spent our honeymoon in the Carribean, Spent some time with Jeff’s family in Mexico, and have enjoyed the outdoors… What a fun life!
